There are a lot of new things in Obdstar X300 DP Plus, compared with X300 DP.
Here, I will list something important except hardware improvement.

New feature 1: Toyota emulator card:
The four emulators here are used to program new keys to Toyota when all keys are lost.
- Why do you use a Toyota simulated smart key?
It will help save a lot when all keys are lost for the Toyota/Lexus 2007-2016 models, coz the instrument table must be removed and the ECU must be replaced.
This Toyota simulated smart key is used to add a new Toyota key so that the ignition switch can be turned on, and then a new smart key can be added and programmed with X300 DP PLUS.
- How many types of Toyota simulated smart keys in total?
There are 4 types at present, and the 5
th one is in development.
- Which type of smart keys can be simulated?

Used for 88/A8 smart cards
Used for A9 smart cards
New feature 2: 3-in-1 adapter: P001 adapter
X300 PAD Plus P001 programmer covers: EEPROM /PIC 2-in-1 adapter, RFID adapter (VW Audi 4th / 5th IMMO programming and other cars e.g Porsche, BMW, Fiat etc.) and Renew Key PCF79XX adapter.
And it uses dual coils with stronger signal, supporting a wider range of RFID. It’s required in recent model upgrades, as follow:

New feature 3: Remote frequency tester:
It can test remote frequency incl.

New feature 4: Induction Coil:
It’s used to detect the key induction coil failure of the vehicle.
Attach the Induction Coil to the key induction coil, and insert the key or turn ignition on, while Induction Coil red indicator lights up and goes out, indicating the key induction coil is good;the indicator does not illuminate to indicate the key coil is damaged, please check and repair or replace.
New feature 5: ECU Programming/Cloning :
ECU cloning means copy ECU, that is the OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus copies the data from the original car ECU, then write it into another same ECU hardware, so that it can achieve the same function as the original ECU.
When you want to change the new ECU or the second ECU, if you use X300 DP Plus to clone via OBD, you won’t need to go to the 4s store to do the online programming or dismantle ECU to weld, read & write.

New feature 6: Switch activation function:
Nowadays, many car models’ accessory power supply of the dashboard or audio equipment needs to be activated to enter the boot status through the related module CAN.
However, when the car technician maintains the dashboard / audio equipment, the main unit is out of the CANBUS network so it maybe won’t boot. X300 DP Plus ” switch activation function” can emulate the CANBUS communication to active the power supply of dashboard / Audio so that it can enter the boot status, then it will test and verify the dashboard and the Audio, also the technician can save money avoiding to purchase many the boot platform and cables of kinds of car models.
New feature 7: “Help” function:
It has the testable car models, update notice, special features, help instruction, wiring diagram etc.
Testable car models: The user can read the testable car models and year.
Update notice: The user can read all of the update content.
Features: The user can read all of the special features and the functions that only X300 DP Plus supports.
Help instruction: Built-in the guide and instruction for each car model or function.
Wiring diagram: Built-in ECU wiring diagram, more intuitive and convenient.
